Oklin Thailand and Premier Marketing PLC continue sustainability efforts with the “Sharing Vegetable Garden – Lunch for Kids” project.

Oklin (Thailand) Co., Ltd., the leading food waste composter provider, joins forces with Premier Marketing Public Company Limited, producer of Taro snacks, to advance sustainability by donating 500 kilograms of plant nutrients made from processed food waste and surplus production ingredients to Ban Tha Chang School in Lamphun Province, for use in nourishing vegetable gardens and reducing chemical use.

Premier Marketing Public Company Limited promotes proper waste segregation and repurposing of food waste by encouraging employees to separate waste within the organization and process it using Oklin food waste composters. The resulting plant nutrients are reused internally and shared with the community.

The “Sharing Vegetable Garden – Lunch for Kids” project not only supports school sustainability but also serves as a learning center where students gain knowledge about sustainable production and the circular economy, demonstrating how food waste can be given a second life.

A total of 500 kilograms of plant nutrients—produced from approximately 3,200 kilograms of food waste—were donated to Ban Tha Chang School. This initiative reduced the carbon footprint by 1,488 kgCO₂e, cut 915 kilograms of methane emissions from landfill, and lowered greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to 876 diesel-engine vehicles traveling 10 kilometers.

Ms. Nattakarn Klawvuthanan, Managing Director of Oklin (Thailand) Co., Ltd., stated:
“Oklin is a high-quality food waste composter capable of processing a wide variety of waste—including liquids, large food scraps, biodegradable packaging, and even tissue paper—without the need for shredding or grinding. Most importantly, it emits significantly less CO₂ into the atmosphere, making it more environmentally friendly. With sustainable waste management principles at its core, our technology has earned the trust of The PARQ and other leading organizations.”

This collaboration between Oklin (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and Premier Marketing Public Company Limited reflects a shared commitment to addressing large-scale food waste challenges and fostering environmental sustainability. It contributes to expanding and maintaining green spaces in communities, schools, and forested areas, thereby increasing oxygen levels through improved tree planting and enhancing the overall quality of the environment.
