Loxley Public Company Limited, in collaboration with Oklin (Thailand) Co., Ltd., has carried out a project to donate 1,000 kilograms of plant nutrients.

Loxley Public Company Limited, in collaboration with Oklin (Thailand) Co., Ltd., has carried out a project to donate 1,000 kilograms of plant nutrients to the Chaipattana Foundation in support of agricultural development. This initiative also serves as part of the commitment to carry forward the Royal Initiatives of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua and His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, both of whom placed great importance on the wise and efficient use of natural resources, soil and water conservation, and sustainable agricultural development. These principles continue to guide the Chaipattana Foundation in its ongoing efforts to strengthen food security and promote environmental sustainability for the country.

The handover ceremony was presided over by Dr. Sumet Tantivejkul, Member and Secretary-General of the Chaipattana Foundation, who received the donation from representatives of Loxley Public Company Limited and Oklin (Thailand) Co., Ltd. Attendees included Ms. Rattana Vatcharasathien, Director of Corporate Social Responsibility, Loxley Public Company Limited; Ms. Chatchaya Pimkhaokham, Assistant Director, Loxley Property Development Co., Ltd., and the Loxley project team; together with Ms. Nattakarn Klorwutthianan, Managing Director of Oklin (Thailand) Co., Ltd., representing the donor organizations.

The plant nutrients donated on this occasion are produced from food waste generated in the Loxley Building canteen. The waste is processed through Oklin’s food waste treatment technology, which uses biotechnology to decompose organic waste and transform it into high-quality plant nutrients within 24 hours, without generating odors or pollution, and without leaving harmful residues. This process converts food scraps that would otherwise be transported to landfills into valuable resources that can be reused productively.

This collaboration serves as a strong example of sustainable food-waste management within an organization. It reduces the volume of waste requiring disposal, decreases greenhouse gas emissions—particularly methane (CH₄) generated from landfill decomposition—and supports the transition toward a Circular Economy, where resources are returned to the natural system in the form of plant nutrients that can be used effectively in agricultural production.

The 1,000 kilograms of plant nutrients donated in this project represent a reduction of over 5,900 kilograms of food waste, demonstrating the power of private-sector collaboration in transforming waste into value and giving back to society in a sustainable manner. This effort is also aligned with the principles of the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy promoted by the Chaipattana Foundation, which encourages individuals and organizations to use resources wisely and take part in environmental stewardship.

The project also highlights the commitment of Loxley Public Company Limited to conducting business responsibly through corporate social responsibility (CSR), with a focus on minimizing waste and environmental impacts through efficient internal management. Meanwhile, Oklin (Thailand) Co., Ltd., a leader in biotechnology-driven food waste treatment, plays a crucial role in helping organizations reduce waste at the source and maximize resource recovery from food waste.

The Chaipattana Foundation will utilize the donated plant nutrients to enrich soil and support agricultural development across its Royal Initiative projects and demonstration farms nationwide—such as organic agriculture plots, vegetable gardens, and community-based sustainable farming programs. The nutrients will help reduce the use of chemical fertilizers, improve soil fertility, and promote safe, sustainable crop production for farmers. This reflects the practical application of the concept “Turning Waste into Value,” which not only reduces environmental impact but also generates long-term benefits for communities.

Both organizations aim to continue expanding the impact of this initiative to other institutions, encouraging systematic food-waste management and inspiring organizations across Thailand to adopt “Zero Food Waste” practices—supporting a society that grows in harmony with environmental sustainability.
