Future Park Hosts “Future Park Green Future Forum”
Future Park and Zpell Host “Future Park Green Future Forum: Greener Future, Together – Driving Waste Management Innovation and Green Buildings Through Multi-Sector Collaboration”
Future Park and Zpell Shopping Centers organized the environmental event “Future Park Green Future Forum: Greener Future, Together”, uniting partnerships across the public sector, private sector, and environmental networks to drive innovation in waste management and green building development.
The event featured Mr. Paveech Ketsawong, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Climate Change and Environment, who shared perspectives on national environmental policies and global environmental regulations, including carbon tax frameworks and the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), as well as the role of Thai businesses in strengthening global competitiveness.
Future Park presented its systematic environmental management approach, covering waste management from the source, landfill waste reduction, value creation through organic waste transformation, energy efficiency enhancement through smart building systems, and expansion of renewable energy usage through solar rooftop installations. These initiatives are complemented by efficient water management and water reuse practices.
The event was made possible through collaboration with key partners across multiple sectors, including:
- SCG, through ONNEX by SCG, providing expertise in green building technologies, energy efficiency improvements, solar rooftop installation, and preparation for EDGE Certification standards.
- Oklin, introducing innovative food waste processing technology that converts organic waste into fertilizer, reducing organic waste volume, minimizing methane emissions, and supporting circular economy practices.
- Glean Thailand, presenting the concept “The Future of Waste is Digital”, utilizing digital platforms to encourage consumer behavioral change in waste separation.
- Better World Green, sharing sustainable solutions for managing “orphan waste” through the waste return initiative.
- SMS Corporation, showcasing environmentally friendly innovations and products under Yes Bio, Sustainable Future Product.
- Chanut Wuttivikarn (Kong Green), inspiring behavioral change toward greener lifestyles by connecting environmental policies and technologies with practical everyday actions.
Future Park has set clear goals to reduce resource consumption and minimize environmental impacts, including reducing waste transported off-site, increasing the proportion of clean energy usage, promoting water reuse, and expanding toward future carbon credit mechanisms. The initiative aims to achieve Zero Waste and advance green building development in accordance with international standards.
Future Park executives stated that this collaboration demonstrates that “sustainability is not the responsibility of any single organization”, but rather a shared effort among all sectors. The organization also encourages tenants, customers, and partners to make environmental responsibility part of everyday life, working together toward a Greener Future, Together.
