This commitment led to the adoption of OKLIN’s food waste composting innovation, which transforms food waste into fertilizer.

The primary objectives are to reduce waste transportation, lower the carbon footprint associated with hauling waste, and focus on on-site waste management to ease the burden on the municipality. The compost produced is used to nourish the hotel’s green spaces, reducing reliance on chemical fertilizers. Any surplus fertilizer is given to local farmers for growing pesticide-free vegetables, which are then supplied back to the hotel as fresh ingredients—forming a Circular Economy. This approach aligns with the principles of circular economy, which aim to maximize the value and use of resources.
