True Digital Park and Oklin Transform Food Waste into “Plant Nutrients” to Support Sustainable Organic Farming

True Digital Park, in collaboration with Oklin, continues to promote sustainable food waste management by transforming food waste through food waste composting technology and food waste disposal machines. This biotechnology-based system helps reduce food waste volume, minimize odors and wastewater, and convert food scraps into plant nutrients that can be reused for agricultural purposes.

Recently, 3,500 kilograms of plant nutrients produced from food waste were donated to the Fuang Khajorn Organic Farming Community Enterprise to support organic agriculture, reduce chemical usage, and encourage efficient resource utilization under the Circular Economy concept.

Today, food waste has become one of the most significant environmental challenges in urban areas. When food waste is sent to landfill, it decomposes and releases methane gas, a greenhouse gas that contributes to global warming and climate change. Implementing food waste disposal machines and food waste composting systems in organizations, office buildings, hotels, and commercial spaces is therefore an effective solution for reducing waste volume, minimizing transportation to landfill sites, and lowering environmental impacts in a tangible way.

Oklin’s technology utilizes biological microorganisms to decompose food waste naturally, reducing food waste volume by up to 80–90% within 24 hours. The process transforms food waste into soil conditioners or plant nutrients that can be reused for tree planting, organic farming, and green space restoration in a sustainable manner.

This collaboration reflects a complete food waste management approach, from waste reduction at the source to resource recovery and agricultural reuse. It demonstrates how food waste can be transformed into valuable resources while supporting the Zero Food Waste concept and advancing a more sustainable future for communities and the environment.
